Getting started
How do I take the free diagnostic?
Sign up free, click "Start diagnostic" on your dashboard. It takes 15 minutes and gives you a CEFR level + recommended next mock.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Speaking items need microphone access — we ask for it just before the first speaking task.
What browser should I use?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari — all current versions. We test specifically against the latest two majors of each.
Scoring & reports
How is my speaking scored?
Whisper transcribes your audio, Azure scores pronunciation, Claude rates content against the IELTS/PTE descriptor. The breakdown lives in your report — every line is justified.
Can I download the PDF?
Yes — every scored attempt has a "Download PDF" button on the result page. The PDF contains the same per-criterion breakdown and per-question feedback as the on-screen report.
How accurate is the AI compared to a human rater?
Within 0.5 bands, 89% of the time. We publish the calibration numbers and re-test against human raters every quarter. See the deep-dive.
Payments & credits
Do credits expire?
No. Once you buy a bundle the credits stay in your account forever.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, credit/debit cards, netbanking — all via Razorpay. Institutes can also pay by bank transfer.
How do I get a refund?
If the AI fails to score your attempt for any reason on our end, we refund the credit automatically. See the refund policy for full terms.
Account & data
I forgot my password — what now?
Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page. We send a single-use reset link to your registered email.
How long do you keep my audio recordings?
90 days, encrypted, for your in-app playback. Auto-deleted after that. Your scores and reports stay forever.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — write to support@engtest.example with "delete account" in the subject and we wipe it within 7 days. We keep aggregated anonymous scoring data for calibration.
